The SFU Pipe Band placed 5th in a field of 15 Grade 1 Pipe Bands this weekend at the World Pipe Band Championships at Glasgow Green.

The Grade 1 competition used a different format this year with each band playing both of their MSR and Medley competition sets; one of each on both Friday and Saturday, with all performances counting towards the final result.

Inveraray & District took the title of 2019 World Pipe Band Champions for the second time in three years after an impressive two day total of 41 total ranking points.  Field Marshal Montgomery was a close second overall with 44 points.  See below for all the results and points for each day.
